At this time of year, it's not been easy to get outdoors to find things to sketch. So I turn to indoor things, like food. These pears were just begging to be drawn. Or eaten. So I sketched them, then sliced them into a salad along with roasted walnuts, blue cheese and baby romaine. Tossed with a little olive oil and pear-infused light balsamic vinegar.
I think these pears would say they'd lived a fulfilling life. It was certainly a tasty one.
